Privacy Notice

How Deductifi collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information for the website, mobile app, and member services.

Last updated 13 July 2026

In short

  • We collect account details and the tax records you choose to store in Deductifi so we can provide the service.
  • We use trusted providers for hosting, payments, email, and support tooling.
  • You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal and operational limits.

Who we are

Deductifi provides digital tools to help members capture trips, expenses, work-from-home activity, receipts, and related tax records across the Deductifi website and mobile app.

This Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information when you use Deductifi. It is written in plain English and may be updated as the product and our providers change.

Information we collect

Account and membership information, such as your name, email address, login details, membership status, and billing-related identifiers needed to manage your subscription.

Tax record-keeping content you enter or upload, which may include trips, odometer readings, expenses, receipts, work-use percentages, property or vehicle details, notes, and report inputs.

Support and feedback information, including messages you send us and optional screenshots or attachments submitted through contact or feedback tools.

Technical and usage information reasonably needed to operate the service, such as device type, app version, browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostic logs, and security events.

How we use personal information

To create and manage your account, authenticate you, and provide member features across web and mobile.

To store, organise, sync, and display the records you submit so you can review them later.

To process membership payments, send service notices, and respond to support or privacy requests.

To maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, improve reliability, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate Deductifi, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, email delivery services, and support tooling, under arrangements that limit use to providing those services.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect Deductifi or our users, or in connection with a business transfer where personal information continues to be handled consistently with this notice or as otherwise required by law.

Storage, security, and location

We host Deductifi systems primarily in Australia and use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Some providers may process limited operational data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled appropriately.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account history, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

If your membership ends, we may retain records for a period consistent with those purposes before deleting or de-identifying them where practicable.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update much of your account information while signed in.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may decline or limit a request where the law allows or requires us to do so.

You can choose what records to enter. Some features will not work without the information those features need.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, and basic analytics needed to operate and improve the service.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, noting that disabling some cookies may affect login or other site functions.

Children

Deductifi is intended for adults managing tax and related records. It is not directed to children.

Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.

Continued use of Deductifi after an update means you should review the revised notice.
